And thats because it stores so much carbon dioxide, which drives the Climate Crisis were currently facing. And yet the forest is under threat of deforestation. Diplomatic efforts to find a resolution to the crisis have stepped up a gear with a warning from washington. Speaking to the bbc, the us Secretary Of State Antony Blinken has voiced his concern that nigersjunta might turn to the Russian Mercenary Group wagner for help.
