Addressing a two-day National Sindhi Convention, Adityanath on Sunday said if Shri Ram Janmabhoomi can be taken back after 500 years, there is no reason why we cannot take back "Sindhu" - now in Pakistan.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stated that if the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple can be reclaimed after 500 years, there is no reason why the Sindhu province, now in Pakistan, cannot be taken back. Speaking at the National Sindhi Convention, Adityanath emphasized the importance of preserving history and educating the younger generation about the suffering the Sindhi community endured during the partition. He also condemned terrorism and extremism, stating that a civilized society cannot tolerate such acts. Adityanath praised the Sindhi community for their resilience and honored world billiard champion Pankaj Advani at the event.
Dwelling on the origin of the term Hindu during the launch of Nanu Yaake Hindu , the Kannada version of his book Why I am a Hindu , the Thiruvananthapuram MP said both the words were given by foreigners to describe people beyond the river Sindhu or Indus.
