Get your shot: COVID-19 vaccination options
On April 5, the state of Michigan expanded COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to encompass all adults. Anyone who is at least 16 years old can be immunized. With the expansion of eligibility, Western students, faculty and staff are encouraged to seek vaccination wherever it is convenient.
The
state’s COVID-19 response websitefeatures a portal to county health departments throughout Michigan. Locally, any Kalamazoo County resident who is eligible may
schedule an appointment onlinewith the Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department. Store pharmacies, including
Rite Aid, also are administering vaccines. As
Sindecuse Health Center is allotted vaccine inventory, the campus community will be informed of vaccine clinics and appointment periods.
