RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – The headquarters for the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force is moving.
The SCK drug task force serves both Logan and Simpson counties but has been operating under the Logan County Fiscal Court for the past 17 years.
That means, the small amount of local tax dollars needed to fund the force have come from Logan County, although the majority of the task force’s funding comes through grants.
Now, the task force is moving to Simpson County near the courthouse, meaning the force will be under the Simpson County Fiscal Court.
The director of the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, Jacky Hunt, said the move is administrative only and there will be no change in their operations nor their service to the community.
