Taipei, May 25 (CNA) The winning number for the NT$10 million (US$358,514) special prize in the March-April uniform invoice lottery is 59518250, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced Tuesday.
The winning number for the NT$2 million grand prize is 81016847, while three numbers qualify for prizes of NT$200,000 22884739, 80660537 and 62637675.
Invoice holders that match the last seven digits of the first-prize numbers will win NT$40,000 and those with invoices that match the last six digits will win NT$10,000.
Other prizes are NT$4,000 for invoices with the last five digits of the first-prize numbers, NT$1,000 for invoices with the last four digits and NT$200 for invoices with the last three digits.

In order to receive the prize money, a winner must fill out the form on the back of the uniform invoice and present it with his or her ID card at any of the four major convenience store chains: Simple Mart, PX Mart, First Commercial Bank, Chang Hwa Commercial Bank, or the Agricultural Bank of Taiwan, between June 6, 2021, to September 6, 2021. A winner need not collect the prize money in person. A person entrusted by a winner to collect his or her prize money should present his or her own ID card along with the winning person s ID card and the winning uniform invoice at a convenience store, Simple Mart, PX Mart, or bank in order to receive the prize money.

More than 37% of vendors unlawfully sell cigarettes to teens: report

Taipei, Jan. 26 (CNA) Teenagers in Taiwan can easily buy cigarettes at 37.1 percent of stores across the country that sell the item, even though it is illegal, a government commissioned report that inspected 660 businesses has found.
The randomly selected businesses included grocery stores, internet cafes, convenience stores and other sellers nationwide, said the Consumers Foundation, which was commissioned by the government to carry out the investigation.
The investigation was conducted April-October last year, with the buyers posing as high school students in uniform, the foundation said.
It found that teenagers were able to buy cigarettes at 47.6 percent of grocery stores and internet cafes, 41.6 percent of betel nut stands, 27.2 percent of convenience stores, and 21 percent of supermarkets and hypermarkets included in the investigation, the foundation said.
