On Sept. 7, BMX world champion cyclist Simon Tabron died on the front porch of his Bonsall home. Minutes later, a shock to his stalled heart brought him back. Tabron believes there’s a reason he survived the heart attack, and a subsequent stroke, and he’s doing his best to put that reason into words.
“I was so lucky. I feel like I’ve been given a second chance,” said Tabron, 47, a married father of two. “One of the most important things for me now is to use that time to thank all the people who have been so kind to me and my family and to help others.”
