One officer was shot right in the face the other in the shoulder, both we are glad to say are expected to recover. Marcia gonzalez is in the area with the latest. Today police surrounded this home. They ran up to me. Kaying several people as they try to track down the gunman. Shows shots fired around midnight last night. Shots fired, officer down. At the end of a protest sparked. Tom jackson announced he was resigning. A response cited widespread racism within the city and department. Police say the demonstration was just starting to wind down when someone started shooting. COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics At Parkland Saint John

(Image: © 2020 Google) Health officials are moving ahead with vaccination efforts at Shannex Parkland Saint John, which is at the centre of a COVID-19 outbreak. New Brunswick’s top doctor previously said they were not planning on vaccinating people in settings with ongoing outbreaks. But during Thursday’s COVID-19 briefing, chief medical health officer Dr. Jennifer Russell said they are now able to move forward with vaccinating residents, except those in the “most-affected” units. Russell said they wanted to ensure the vaccine could be safely administered during an outbreak while limiting further spread of the virus.

No New Cases After More Testing At Parkland Saint John

The company says Simms Court residents and employees were retested Tuesday and no new cases were found. There have been 20 confirmed cases at Parkland Saint John to date: 11 residents, eight employees and one non-Shannex employee. Shannex says the outbreak status of Tucker Hall will be lifted 28 days after the last case was identified. The last case reported by Shannex was on Dec. 16 and it involved an employee working in the cohorting unit, where residents who tested positive for the virus were cared for by staff dedicated to that area.
