Ministry announces initiative to regulate blacksmith and carpentry workshops in Qatar

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced an initiative to regulate blacksmithing and carpentry workshops and warehouses that carry out their activities in cities and on commercial streets.
This initiative comes as part of the Ministry s efforts in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Ministry of Interior, in aims at regulating and monitoring commercial activities across Qatar.
In accordance with the laws, conditions and requirements in force in the country, blacksmithing and carpentry workshops and warehouses that carry out their activities in cities and on commercial streets may not:

Doha: Ministry of Commerce and Industry ordered closure of two gymnasiums in The Pearl Qatar and Al-Meshaf area.
The ministry stated that the gymnasiums were closed for one week each for non-compliance with Covid-19 precautionary and preventive measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and preserve public health.
This inspection campaign comes as part of the Ministry’s keen efforts to monitor and regulate markets and commercial activities across Qatar, and to monitor the degree of compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial activities, as well as following up on compliance with the Ministry’s circulars regarding the precautionary and preventive measures.

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and Ministry of Public Health, launched inspection campaigns on retail outlets and street vendors in various areas, including Al Khor, Madinat Khalifa South, and Salwa Road.
The campaign was carried out to monitor the degree of compliance with laws and resolutions regulating commercial activities, including Law No. (25) of 2005 on Commercial Registration and Law No. (5) of 2015 on Commercial, Industrial, and Similar Public Shops, and Street Vendors.
The campaigns resulted in the seizure and release of 24 violations. The most prominent were commercial license expiration, failure to comply with the general and special requirements, and practicing street vending without a commercial license.
