LAGOS, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)/ Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization, on Tuesday expressed concern over the malnutrition crisis in northwest Nigeria.
The international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has said that northwest Nigeria must be included in the UN's humanitarian response plan, so actors that rely on UN funding can also provide aid to the region. MSF urged the humanitarian community to immediately respond to the emergency needs of people in the region. The group said its teams have witnessed extraordinarily high numbers of children with malnutrition in MSF's programmes located in five states across northwest Nigeria.
