James De los Santos and Fatima A-Isha Lim Hamsain captured gold medals in their respective categories as results in the 1st Inner Strength Martial Arts International eTournament were posted Thursday.
De los Santos, the world No. 1 e-kata player, won in the male senior’s division following a 25.4-24.6 win against Nejc Sternisa of Slovenia in the final round of the event sanctioned by the Word Karate Federation.
It was the second gold medal for De los Santos after he dominated the prestigious SportData eTournament World Series 1 late last month when he beat No. 4 Silvio Cerone-Biogioni of South Africa.

World No. 1 e-kata player James De los Santos returned to competition via the SportData eTournament World Series 1, his first tournament this year after more than a month of rest.
“I’ve already recorded my videos because the deadline is January 29 (Friday),” said De los Santos.
“It’s a new year, and I’m really looking forward to these virtual tournaments.”
“I’ve been busy in Kumu, I’m doing a campaign there,” said De los Santos.
“But yes I’m still training. I’m able to manage. It’ll start on the 29th. I registered already for the SportData eTournament World Series.”
De los Santos captured 36 gold medals last year, including 35 from various international competitions sanctioned by the SportsData for online meets of the World Karate Federation (WKF).
That propelled the 30-year-old De los Santos to the top spot of the male senior’s category of e-kata.
But since his first tournament is set late this month, he has diverted his focus on starting a career in singing, something he inherited from his mother Eve. He has posted some covers from Ed Sheeran with the hit song “Photograph” and “Love Me Tender” from the Rock N Roll icon Elvis Presley.

Is the No. 1 world ranking already in the bag for online karate sensation James De los Santos?
It is no secret that De los Santos wants to end the year on top of the e-kata male senior’s category, but he said he is focused on winning more gold medals in his remaining events.
“I have six tournaments left for this year… in God’s will. I’ll just do my best,” said the 30-year-old De los Santos, who bagged his 30th gold medal late last week when he ruled the third leg of the Champions Trophy World Series.
