Edward Schintzius
HANOVER Edward Schintzius is running for his second term as a councilman in the town of Hanover. Schintzius is a retired police detective who also worked as an investigator for the district attorney in Niagara County and in the U.S. Marshal Service. He served in The United States Marine Corps He is married to his wife Laurie and has 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
As a councilman he has been enthusiastically and aggressively pushing for new business in the town of Hanover. He is responsible for the upgrading of the town beach, boat launch and fish cleaning station. He has worked closely with the highway superintendent to improve the buildings and equipment in the town.
Community Bank N.A. wrapped up the year by donating more than $130,000 to non-profit organizations.
Donations have been made throughout its four-state footprint which includes New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Massachusetts.
