Dimapur, Sep. 1 (EMN): Nagaland Health Project (NHP) with support from the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kiphire, conducted a district-level refreshers training on implementation of bio-medical waste management (BMWM) for all health facilities under Kiphire on August 30 at District Hospital, Kiphire. The training was imparted to orient healthcare workers about managing bio-medical waste in their respective health centres, an update from the CMO’s office stated. In her opening remarks, CMO of Kiphire, Dr. R Chubala Aier, has highlighted about bio-medical waste management, wherein she called upon all the participants to get conversant in managing biomedical wastes and asked them to teach the same to other healthcare workers in their respective health units. She also asked them to keep practicing every day whatever they have learn during the training.
