The Bihar cabinet has approved the recruitment of 69,692 teachers in state-run schools. They have also approved a 100% increase in the monthly honorarium for around 30,000 Siksha Sewaks and 10,000 Vikas Mitras . The recruitment will be conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission once the ongoing recruitment of 1.70 lakh teachers is completed. The Vikas Mitras work on implementing government schemes in rural areas, while the Siksha Sewaks are involved in education.
