The nonprofit Detroit Parks Coalition has received a $2.6 million grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation that will allow it to expand its scope.
“Just Place: Race, Parks and Public Spaces in Detroit” will explore the racial history, policies and practices that have limited Black participation in parks.
