Produced from 1955 to 1957, the second-generation Chevrolet Bel Air is one of the most iconic 1950s designs. Part of the Tri-Five Chevy lineup, which also included the 150, 210, and Nomad, the Bel Air is now a full-fledged collectible that draws a lot of attention at auction events. Chevrolet built almost five million Tri-Five cars in three years, so they re not exactly rare, but well-maintained Bel Airs at relatively decent prices are hard to come by. I say pristine because even though it was professionally restored, it happened some 30 years ago and it s showing a few rust spots on the body. However, it spent most of its post-restoration days as a garage queen and it needs just a few touch ups to become a concours-winner Bel Air.
