Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak, local leaders and representatives of U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez-Masto and Congressman Mark Amodei helped break ground Thursday on a new affordable housing development in Carson City.
How should development be managed? What about housing affordability? And what will be done to improve roads, conserve water and reduce homelessness? These are some of the questions facing candidates for the Carson City Board of Supervisors, the governing body that oversees everything in the capital city from local ordinances to sign design.
The long-awaited affordable housing project known as ‘Sierra Flats’ will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at its site in Carson City on Thursday, which will be attended by both Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell, as well as Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak.
