Park cafe, there is no end in sight for the mouth watering food options here. Adding to the culinary delights is the family of business he which includes skylight creamery, skylight and the 18 raisin. Skylight market has been here since 1940. Its been in the family since 1964. His father and uncle bought the market and ran it through sam taking it over in 1998. At that point sam revamped the market. He installed a kitchen in the center of the market and really made it a place where chefs look forward to come. He created community through food. So, we designed our community as having three parts we like to draw as a triangle where its comprised of our producers that make the food, our staff, those who sell it, and our guests who come and buy and eat the food. And we really feel that we wouldnt exist if it werent for all three of those components who really support each other. And thats kind of what we work towards every day. Valley creamery was opened in 2006. The two pastry chefs who s
Everything has to flow horizontal and vertical leap. We created several modules to make it easier for contractors to attach the documents in a standardized format. We do not have to go deeper anymore. I dont have a formal education in i. T. , however, i have deployed some systems when i was working for the industry, and i brought in young, energetic staff to help. We implemented this. It took three months. People knew when they were going to get paid. I think we have a happy contractor community. These system improvements have really it increased service to our clients and reduced costs and really improved the bidding environment for our contractors. Its remarkable what she has done. Been a Public Service being a Public Servant is a good thing. I love my job. I would Never Exchange it for anything else in the world. [applause] [applause] i am from the department of public works. Saw. Maybe you saw something spectacular, an illusion of light or something, and it creates an image. I will try to read something done quickly because i am trying to capture one that is. And of course, that stuff is very fleeting. The other thing, musicians who played the guitar, something with your fingers, they feel as if they are remembering in their fingers. Oftentimes, you play a passage and you cannot think your way through it. Your fingers have to play the way through it. Muscle memory. From a scientific standpoint, if i were to scoop your brain out of your head, your fingers would not remember, but there is a motor cortex that remembers the sequence. There is a whole field that studies the sequence, how one movement is remembered in a succession of a sequence. The process of creating, trying to start creating music is not that different for me that it is remembering music. It is revoking some kind of image or movement. Evoking some kind of image or movement. Can i ask, i am a
Everybody is paranoid, number one. [speaker not understood]. I couldnt believe it. Anyway, thank you. Thank you. [speaker not understood]. [laughter] yeah. [speaker not understood]. Francisco came in in terms of actually ading the officer. More broadly how do you think San Francisco compares and what are some of the other cities that are doing really well in terms of open data . I should be clear. When San Francisco is third, we have a pact. Ill add to that actually. Whats great in San Francisco is there is not just going to be a chief data officer. There is also the office of civic innovation. Jays team, shannons team. By having both of those units in place i think there is going to be a really powerful team. Because you cant just open up the data. You have to do things like this, where you get the Community Together or you have people actually talking about it because the demand side, as we were talking about it, will be there because there is going to be someone there. There have to be people working with it who are getting out there. I think this is what this city is going to be really powerful. In terms of other cities doing as well, chicago is doing some rea
