160 BEST bus drivers on wet lease go on flash strike over salary hike

Around 160 Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) buses remained off the roads in Mumbai as over 500 bus drivers on wet lease went on strike demanding a salary hike. The strike resulted in fewer buses on the road and affected over 20 bus routes, causing inconvenience to commuters. The drivers are also demanding better amenities at bus depots.
