Advisory 60 Miles Per Hour winds so lost 5 Miles Per Hour down to 65 miles an hour at our last still moving to the north at about 23 miles an hour thats very similar as you see spinning right now still just south of the mexican border. However, most of the activities happening out in front of this so folks across Southern California are already really in it as they experience some pretty strong gusts at times and certainly that heavy rain. These are some of the gusts weve seen thus far, these are all Higher Elevations. So right around san diego, los angeles theyre not seeing winds like this. palm springs. we can see what s going on in san diego. so we know the very winds and flooding that s taking place in other counties so i think maybe that will make it more real for people here in los angeles. and i know my former colleague and congress who is now mayor of los angeles karen bass has been reached out to by president biden who is assured us that the federal government will be there to help us as we go through this first ever once in a lifetime event for l.a. county. we just got word that the health department there has issued an ocean water quality rain advisory which tells people they need to stay out of the ocean for the next three days because so much water washes off the land and carries a lot of bacteria with it. it potentially could make people sick speacialg the elderly or people with compromised immune systems. that s not fun when you live
