SHELDON—Marty Wallace has been working as a trauma and attachment therapist for about a decade and recently was recognized as one of the best in the field. Wallace owns Therapies Inc. in Sheldon and was honored along with seven other therapists from around the country at a nationally recognized youth residential treatment facility in Lake Ozark, MO, called Calo Programs. “Calo’s a place — one of two or three in the nation — where really severely traumatized children go,” Wallace said. “They work on their past trauma and try to get their behaviors under control.” He attended the facility’s inaugural Calo Expo April 12-15, which included recognition ceremonies, informational sessions about attachment therapy techniques and tours of the campus.
