AI servers are a high-growth area that will drive Hon Hai Precision Industry s (Foxconn) revenue growth beginning in the second half of this year, according to company chairman Young Liu.
ODMs Quanta Cloud Technology, Supermicro, Giga Computing Technology, Mitac Computing Technology, and Ingrasys Technology are showcasing AI servers and other products at Computex 2023 in Taiwan.
Foxconn (Hon Hai Technology Group) held its shareholders meeting on the May 31. Chairman Young Liu stated that Foxconn has a comprehensive product portfolio in the ICT field, including market-leading positions in products such as mobile phones, PCs, servers, and others.
Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Quanta Computer, generated 50% of its revenue from AI servers in 2022 and anticipates that the proportion will further increase in 2023.
Emily Hong, the Vice Chairwoman and CEO of server original design manufacturer (ODM) Wiwynn Corp., stated that they currently have AI-related projects with major clients in progress. They anticipate significant growth in shipments starting from November to December 2023 and continuing into 2024. As for whether AI server sales will reach 50% of Wiwynn revenue in 2024, Hong expressed that it is their expected target.
