Roads in rural Dorset village to shut for repairs

Iwerene Minister, Dorset A NUMBER of roads in a Dorset village will close for multiple days for repairs. Iwerne Minister, near Blandford Forum, will see Shute Lane, Old School Lane, Post Office Road and Church Road shut from Thursday, August 5. A public notice from Dorset Council states that the roads will be closed on working days to allow the carriageway maintenance works to be safely carried out. The works will be completed by Wednesday, August 11. The document states: This notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works. During the repairs, vehicles cannot be enter or park on Shute Lane, Old School Lane, Post Office Road and Church Road. Any vehicle which breach the road closure or park on the road may be removed.

Public toilets in Cornwall reopen at Shute Lane Porthleven

A SET of public toilets in Porthleven is now fully reopened following repairs. Porthleven Town Council made the announcement after coming under fire over the absolutely revolting state of the disabled toilet in Shute Lane – the only one at that end of the village open, following vandalism of the men s and ladies . READ MORE: The town council has now said: We are pleased to inform you that the Shute Lane toilets are now fully open after being repaired last week. After receiving a quote for a third daily clean we can confirm that we have agreed to get this in place to help ensure that standards of cleanliness are kept up during busy months ahead.
