Renowned Crimean Tatar historian Shurki Seitumerov has had two sons taken from him since Russia’s invasion and annexation of Crimea. His wife’s brother was also seized in the same ‘operation’ targeting men for their religious and political views and their civic activism in support of political prisoners. This is one of four ‘bulk’ arrests thus far in occupied Crimea which enables the FSB to claim ‘good statistics’ on fighting ‘terrorism’ while terrorizing Crimean Tatar families.
