Dhemaji: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday visited the residence of martyred Mritunjoy Chutia at Geluwa village in Sisiborgaon in Dhemaji districts of Assam and paid floral tribute to the portrait of the martyred.
CM Sonowal also spent time with Mritunjoy s family members and handed over a cheque worth Rs 20 lakhs as financial assistance to the family. He further announced that a children s park would be set up at the martyr s native village near his Samadhi Kshetra in memory of him.
