Bhubaneswar: The CSIR-IMMT (Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology), Bhubaneswar today celebrated its 58th foundation day at a virtual function here. Dr Shekhar C. Mande, Director General, CSIR & Secretary, DSIR, Govt. was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Prof. S Basu, Director, CSIR-IMMT, Dr. A.K. Sahu, Chairman, Foundation Day Celebration Committee, and several other scientists, officials, and staff members joined the event virtually through video-conferencing.
On the occasion, Prof. S. Basu released the Annual Report 2020-2021 of the Institution and hindi Magazine Abhivyakti.
Shri Basu said, IMMT was able to work on 165 number of projects out of 83 new projects were taken up with rupees 31 crore external cash flow, both funded by government and private agencies. In past pandemic situation IMMT developed many assistive device products related to Covid-19. Department successfully commissioned a state of the art “slurry pilot plant test loop facility” for hydraul
