Kathmandu [Nepal], July 18 (ANI): Nepal s newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is set to face the floor test in Parliament on Sunday after holding a discussion with his party insiders.
Deuba will be seeking a vote of confidence in Parliament s Sunday meeting as per the Constitutional provisions which ask the new Prime Minister to seek a vote of confidence within 30 days after his appointment. Minister for Law has registered the proposal to include the tabling of the proposal to test the floor in the Parliament Secretariat. Newly appointed PM Deuba will be taking a vote of confidence in today s meeting, Shreedhar Neupane, Press Advisor to House Speaker confirmed to ANI.

Deuba to seek vote of confidence later today as restored House convenes Kathmandu Post
Kathmandu, July 18 Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is set to seek a vote of confidence on Sunday as the restored House of Representatives convenes its meeting.
Deuba was appointed prime minister on July 13 as per the July 12 verdict of the Supreme Court.
The court also reinstated the House of Representatives dissolved on May 21.
The Cabinet on Thursday recommended the House session for 4pm Sunday.
The constitution makes it mandatory that a prime minister appointed under Article 76(5) secures a vote of confidence within 30 days of appointment. A failure to win the vote of confidence leads to dissolution of the House, and elections must be held within six months.

Sher Bahadur Deuba, 75, the president of Nepali Congress, took the oath of office and secrecy on July 13, a day after a five-member Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana reinstated the dissolved House of Representatives for the second time in five months.
