Same area. They too are concerned. Any sense, that may be a good thing. Their strength is going to be if they can act collectively. What the chinese are doing here, in one case, building airfields so that they can launch aircraft to do patrols and surveillance. Further exerted what they consider their sovereignty over the south china sea. It has been impressive in the last year or year and a half since they have been doing this. As they pursued drilling. Which has caused conflict with the vietnamese. This is a worrisome trend of the chinese because of the tensions it is going to create in the south china sea. They have been very aggressive about it. You have not only the kit bodhi be to build an airfield but weapon systems capability to build an airfield but also weapon systems. It will be interesting to see what they do. Our attention is on other parts of the world. This is really quite a major step on their part. I thank you for helping us out on it. One question and react in reactio
Thank you for the opportunity to address you at what is a critical moment for the future of internet. More than anything else, the action that you take today will preserve the permissionless invasion invasion. Let me explain. The web was invented 25 years ago. To people and let them run on computers which were connected to the internet. All that was necessary for those computers were plugged in to internet. They were then communicating. Didnt have to ask anybodys permission. Frome1 this, the worldwide web spread to reach all the corners of the global and connected world, enabling hundreds of billions of dollars of Economic Growth and enhanced free speech and democracy around the world. Didnt have to get permission from anybody to introduce a thing. I didnt have to pay isp and special fees. I didnt have to convince c should be let through. If it would be good for their business. I didnt have to worry they would block it because it was compete competing with the businesses they have. So,
I do not ask this as a politician. As dakota was suggesting. I ask as one of so many mothers of a combat vet. When my son went off to war the first time as a teenager, i was confronted with the same reality that all the other moms have to face and just realizing, i was not going to be there to help, to protect. Moms cant be there when they hurt. I can pray, and i did and i do. But fewer things are more difficult than to kiss a child goodbye. Those first deployments is when a parent goes from calling him son to calling him sir. America hands over her sons and daughters in service with the promise they are going to be taken care of. Our troops are promised no one will be left kind. They are promised that a grateful nation will spare no expense to patch them up and bring them back to health when wounded. And now they come home wounded. Too many broken in body and spirit. Well we their mothers and their fathers and their house and their weives, we are here to collect on the promises made.
