Terrorist killings keep dropping but far-right threat rears ugly head
The chances of being killed in a terror attack are lower now than at any time over the past five years, according to new data, which also revealed a surge in violent far-right activity.
The number of people killed globally by terrorists has dropped for the fifth straight year, the 2020 Global Terrorism Index (GTI) found.
Since a bloody peak of 32,658 in 2014, deaths caused by terror attacks worldwide decreased by 59 per cent to 13,826.
