Unidentified criminals looted gold ornaments weighing 100 tola from a jewellery shop in Bagerhat early today.
The miscreants broke into Rupali Jewellers at Dreamland Super Market in Bagerhat town, and took away the gold that was on display and in the locker, our local correspondent reports.
Shop owner Bholanath Das said that he closed his shop around 9:30 pm last night and returned home, and he found the door broken in the morning. He added, When I entered the shop, there were no gold ornaments in the locker and display.
