Dally Memorial Library
The Dally Library, located in the charming little town of Sardis, Ohio, is providing local families with entertainment all summer long.
The Summer Reading Program, held every Wednesday at 10 A.M. during the month of July, provides children with the opportunity to listen to stories, make crafts and eat snacks. This year’s theme is “Tails and Tales.”
They also offer a Little Free Library along the scenic Hannibal Walking Trail, providing free reading for all ages; their goal is to improve access to books and increase literacy rates in the community. Take a walk along the trail before finding a nice spot to relax and read a book, and enjoy being surrounded by the beauty of nature.

As you drive through the eastern end of Guernsey County, an odd site might catch your eye. An opera house sits overlooking Interstate 70, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The building s rich history tells of its life in Fairview, and how it s future is precarious at best.
The property on which the Pennyroyal Opera House sits was originally owned by John and Elizabeth Duncan. Hoping to see a meeting house built for the church, they donated the land to the Presbyterian Church in 1839. Although records are unclear, it is believed the opera house building was constructed in the 1850s.
