The bundle is named after the phrase “I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people paid more to work less and I’m not kidding”. This has become a meme in some sections of the gaming community, following repeated stories of crunch and poor working conditions on the industry’s biggest AAA games.
The Shorter Games With Worse Graphics Bundle Is Now Available On Itch.io
Want shorter games with worse graphics? Here are some good ones we’re not kidding!
Playing up a viral tweet earlier this year, solo indie developer CannibalInteractive is hosting an Itch.io bundle promoting shorter games made by fellow indie devs. With 32 games available from 25 developers, the bundle is priced at $20 a veritable steal, considering buying all titles individually would normally cost players $108.43.
The bundle’s name references a viral tweet made earlier this year, when Twitter user Jordan Mallory shared some apparently widely shared sentiments on video games.
