We have the situation which has been resolved thanks to a lot of hard work but probably shouldnt have happened in the first place to have significant turnovers of executive directors which is not just recent thing but happened in the past as well. Worked out. Im not going to deny the bumps in the road. Its helpful to hear from those that have gone through it. When i think about what is the tenderloin and excels yoir and even chinatown applied for the grant. What is really interesting is they have a high concentration of sros and all of the things that we have in the mission, but when it came to the educational piece in it we couldnt demonstrate that our kids that live in chinatown were not performing well. It really kind of was a stumbling block for their application. We know that we can do so much better when all of us can get behind our schools and then ultimately have greater outcomes. I always think about the citys role in all of this, as we educate our students, the impact it will have on health care and safety and work force, all the things that are critical for our st e to thrive is so dependent on how we educate our kids. Money i would totally support that and i feel that we should train teachers in Digital Media. You cant teach cooking out a kitchen, so we need to bring Digital Media into the classroom so people can practice in the environments theyre in all the time outside of school. And i would say that having listened to the word Media Literacy as far as back when i was carrying 3inch quarter cassettes years ago and it was a great job. It really was. To teach media and Digital Literacy out of context is a fools error and we have the boring curriculums in the world and teaching it out of the context. We have to stop blocking. Yeah. I dont know. So i have learned the phrase teachable moment since becoming a resource officer and i try to incorp rat that with a discipline situation and i try to use the teachable moment with the parents as well so you can move forward all together instead of just making everybody upset.
