J&K Encounter: 12 terrorists have been killed by security forces in the last three days.

Five terrorists were killed during two separate operations by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir today. Two security forces have also been injured, police said.
A teenager, who had gone missing less than a week ago and was believed to have joined a local terrorist group, was among three suspected terrorist killed in the operation at Hadipora village in Shopian district.
Police said during the operation they offered him a chance to surrender but it seemed his accomplice prevented from doing so. We brought his parents to the encounter site and they appealed to him to surrender. He wanted to surrender but his accomplice stopped him from doing so, said Vijay Kumar, Inspector General police.

Sophian (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 3 (ANI): An encounter has started at the Choor ki Gali Sedaw area of Hurpora in Shopian district, police said on Saturday.

Earlier today, Police and Army also carried out an encounter at a forest in the Peer Ki Gali area of the Shopian district.
Last week, one security personnel had lost his life when a cordon and search operation was launched in Shopian and the terrorists started firing indiscriminately on the search party. Two terrorists were also eliminated in the operation.

A massive anti-terror operation was launched by security forces in the forests of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (April 3).
The gunfight erupted after a joint team of the police and the Army cordoned the forested Chor Ki Gali area and launced a search operation based on specific information on the presence of terrorists.
