We are here today because 203 days ago, the house passed bipartisan gun violence prevention legislation. And the u. S. Senate has done nothing. After every mass shooting that makes the headlines, leader mcconnell says its too soon to talk about policies. There have been more Mass Shootings this year than there have been days in the year. If we wait for a day without gun violence to talk about it, we will be waiting forever. The Senate Leader mcconnell hopes if he waits this out, it will go away. Well, were not going away.
