WASHINGTON (JTA) Alan Dershowitz sought a Middle East peacemaking role for former lobbyist George Nader in order to win Nader’s freedom from imprisonment on a child pornography and trafficking conviction.
The revelation came in a New York Times story exposing the extent to which Dershowitz, the constitutional lawyer and pro-Israel activist who forged close ties to the Trump administration, was involved in obtaining at least 12 of the 267 clemencies that Donald Trump issued during his presidency ending last month.

WASHINGTON â By the time George Nader pleaded guilty last year to possessing child pornography and sex trafficking a minor, his once strong alliances in President Donald Trumpâs inner circle had been eroded by his cooperation with the special counselâs investigation into Trumpâs team and its connections to Russia.
So as Nader sought to fight the charges and reduce his potential prison time, he turned to a lawyer with a deep reservoir of goodwill with the president and a penchant for taking unpopular, headline-grabbing cases: Alan Dershowitz.

(JTA) Even without hearing the words, the pictures that animate the “Appreciation Song for President Trump” sung by a group of Hasidic boys clearly spell out the reasons for their appreciation for Donald Trump.
