Over the last four days, officials representing the Brandon School Division and the Park West School Division announced that new COVID-19 cases have emerged in their respective institutions.
One of the most recent cases came to light on Monday afternoon, with Park West representatives announcing that a student from Major Pratt School in Russell recently tested positive for the virus.
However, since the student hasn’t attended in-person instruction since May 7, officials believe there is no risk of school transmission after consulting with members of public health.
