JAMMU, Mar 8: Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu today flagged off five days women hiking and trekking expedition, here today.
While flagging off the expedition, Prof. Dhar advised the participants to enjoy the expedition while respecting the nature and observing the COVID-19 SOPs.
He appreciated the role of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu especially Dr Daud Iqbal Baba for encouraging women’s participation in adventurous activities.
It is pertinent to mention here that this expedition is being organised on the occasion of the International Women’s Day for 50 students of the various colleges of the Jammu Province affiliated with the University of Jammu as well as the students of Jammu University in collaboration with the Pir Panchal Adventures.
