Gordon Kenneth Mann passed away peacefully on July 1, 2021, at the Goldenview Health Care Center in Meredith, N.H.
Gordon was born on Dec. 3, 1926, in Newton, Mass., to Ruth Thomas Mann and Kenneth Elmer Mann.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Shirley Nelson.
He has a nephew, Eric Nelson of Cheshire, Conn.; and a niece, Amy Saunier of St. Peter, Minn.
Gordon graduated from Milton High School, received a bachelor s from Dartmouth College and an M.Ed. from Boston University. He also studied mathematics at the University of New Hampshire, University of Vermont and Louisiana State University. He served in the Army in 1945 and 1946.

Shirley Anne Nelson, 88, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed Jan. 11, 2021, at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro.
She was born in Linden, Nova Scotia, and grew up in Truro. She was the daughter of the late Burley and Annie (McFadden) Works, and a sister to Hazel Murray (Vernon) and Frank Works (Marion).
She loved to talk about her childhood and especially her times in Linden and Pointe de Chene, New Brunswick. She loved her visits with all her family living in those areas.
She graduated from The Business College in Truro, went on to marry her first love, Gerald (Gerry) Nelson, and later had two beautiful children, Debbie and Stanley. She stayed home to raise her children and went back to work when they were almost teenagers. She spent many years as the insurance adjuster at The Wally Keddy Real Estate Company.
