Dear Editor, My poor mother passed away in December 2019, and was laid to rest with my late father at Charlton cemetery in January 2020. To date their grave has not been flattened and remains an eyesore. We have communicated with Test Valley Council, through emails and phone calls. We have had several promises that this would be sorted to no avail. The excuses range through Covid, weather, supply of turf – none of which are believable as newer graves have been flattened. It isn’t as though no one has been working up there as unfortunately burials have continued. My sister has tried to contact local councillors to no avail.
THE areas in and around Romsey where the most people have received the coronavirus vaccines have been revealed. NHS figures, broken down by age group, show how many people were given at least one dose in neighbourhoods across Test Valley between December 8 2020 and May 2. In that period, a total of 72,861 people in the Romsey and Southampton North constituency received either one or two jabs. Of those, 9,125 were under the age of 45. The figures are available at constituency and local authority level, but are also broken down by smaller areas. These are called Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs) and have an average population of 7,200.
Chilbolton, Clatford & Barton Stacey The interactive map breaks down infections in England into small areas with a population of around 7,200 called Super Middle Output Areas (MSOAs). For each MSOA, the map shows the number of cases in the past week, increases or decreases compared to the week before and the rate of cases per 100,000 people. The only area to record more than three infections in this time was Andover Charlton & Bourne Valley, which had four cases - up by two on last week. Andover Charlton & Bourne Valley had a weekly rolling rate of 56.7 cases per 100,000 people. However, infections have continued to drop across the borough, with just 14 cases documented in the seven days to May 4.
