Chambersburg Public Opinion View Comments It s been a crazy school year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but Franklin County students in the Class of 2021 are about to emerge on the other side as high-school graduates.  Graduation season kicks off this week for the county s school districts. Commencement ceremonies will be in-person and, save for masks and social distancing, back to normal.  Here is a list of when local public schools will graduate their seniors. Keep in mind that for most of these, only ticket holders may enter the door/gate. Outdoor ceremonies may be affected by inclement weather.  Be sure to check back over the next couple of weeks to see photos from these graduation ceremonies.

Districts are required to submit their misconduct reports, both criminal and academic infractions, to the state every year. Reporting sometimes changes from year-to-year, but no changes were made last school year. Last year, the top three criminal reasons why students were in trouble statewide were: Possession, use, or sale of tobacco or vaping 8.34 percent Fighting 8.14 percent Minor altercation 5.42 percent Here’s a list of the schools that had the largest number of arrests, and the crime that was most common at each school.
