Game Center CX Can Now Cover PS2, GameCube, and GBA Games
The Japanese gaming TV show
Game Center CX is now able to cover games from PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and Game Boy Advance, since more than 20 years have passed since the consoles’ releases. The show’s Twitter account made the announcement after the host Shinya Arino completed a playthrough of the NES game
The Legend of Zelda in the latest episode. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Game Center CX has been airing on Fuji TV One since 2003. There is a general rule that the show can only cover game consoles that are at least 20 years old. However, there have also been exceptions to that rule in order to mark special commemorations.

Game Centre CX tweeted out today that since the aforementioned consoles have passed the twenty-year mark, Arino will be playing them (and their games) this season.
If you are not familiar with
Game Centre CX, you can read (here and here) a profile I did on Arino in 2007 for
Wired Magazine. (Full disclosure: Back in 2011,
Kotaku broadcasted an English language version of
Game Centre CX which was localised as Retro Game Master.)
