The plane crashed near the Shiloh Airport on Settle Bridge Road in Stoneville around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, the Rockingham County Sheriff s Office said. Cates said there was a fire when the plane crashed and crews quickly put it out. The Federal Aviation Administration will be at the crash site Friday morning, said Cates.
