Walking around the metal detectors inside of the facility the morning of june 154th. A Security Guard looked on as it happened. This was common for arriving ups workers because they were used for screen workers levering the building. They were installed following another ups workplace shooting in alabama in 2014. Police saw lam had two stolen guns on him at the time of the shooting. He killed three of his coworkers before turning the gun on himself. Officers also found a backpack on the scene containing one box of ammunition. A spokesman for superior court tells ktvu span was accused in a 2008 double homicide in Mountain View but the charges were dropped. Spans former Attorney Says span was never at the scene of the crime and was falsely identified as the shooter. Span pleaded no contest to lesser charges of receiving stolen property and being an accessory after the fact of the crime.
