Sonora, CA Monday will be the official changing of the guard for the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.
Outgoing board members John Gray, Sherri Brennan and Karl Rodefer took part in their final meeting this past Thursday, approving plans for the Terra Vi Lodge Yosemite. On Monday, new members Kathleen Haff, David Goldemberg and Jaron Brandon will be sworn into office. A special meeting is scheduled for noon in the board meeting room. Terra Vi Lodge Yosemite
Sonora, CA – After a six hour meeting, Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to approve the Environmental Impact (EIR) Report for the Terra Vi Lodge Yosemite project with a limit on green house gas emissions. Most of the time was spent assessing possible EIR errors, and several hours of public comments, many against and some in support of the project.
The Terra Vi Lodge Yosemite project plans to construct 140 guest rooms, 25 cabins, a market, and a lodge near the intersection of Highway 120 and Sawmill Mountain Road. There will also be employee housing, outdoor amenities, walkways and parking. It will spread across 64-acres at the intersection of Highway 120 and Sawmill Mountain Road approximately half way between the community of Buck
