KPMG will give staff a one-off COVID-19 thank-you bonus worth 4 per cent of their annual salary funded by a sharp rebound in client demand.
The payment will be made to all staff who were working at the firm on February 24 and still employed as of May 14.
The KPMG bonus means those who had their pay cut and are still at the firm are now 2.7 per cent ahead.

Staff were told about the one-off bonus on Thursday afternoon.
“I’m very pleased to say our positive momentum has continued. Thank you for your efforts. All of you have contributed to this. [This payment] is a recognition and thank you for your contribution working with us through the challenges of FY21,” CEO Gary Wingrove said.
The payment comes as law, professional services and investment banking firms abroad offer staff lucrative bonuses as they eye the other side of the pandemic.
