On 11/4/2023, at about 7:40 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Copenhagen Road and Table Bluff Road near Loleta for the report of a shooting.
On Oct. 11, 2023, at about 10:13 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the Hoopa area conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation near the Tish Tang Campground.
On Oct. 5, 2023, at about 1:52 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the McKinleyville area conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of North Bank Road and Hunts Drive.
According to security officers at the location, a dark-colored sedan occupied by two people reportedly drove past the camp and began shooting out of the vehicle. No one was injured. The vehicle reportedly continued driving, turning down Asip Road. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
On Sept. 23, 2023, at about 11:52 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business on the 900 block of U.S. Highway 101 near Cooks Valley for the report of a road rage incident.
