EQUALITY, Ala. (AP) - A pilot survived after a seaplane crashed Tuesday on waters of Alabama’s Lake Martin, authorities said.
The aircraft’s wreckage was located about 3:45 p.m., and Sheriff Michael Howell said the pilot’s condition was OK, WSFA-TV reported.
Howell said the pilot reported he was trying to land on the water when he lost control of the plane identified as an Aircam, an open cockpit seaplane. The crash occurred in the unincorporated Equality area of Coosa County, Howell added.
