Butte County Jail inmates to receive COVID-19 vaccine
On Jan. 28, inmates at the Butte County Jail started receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
Butte County Public Health Department provides Butte County Jail with enough vaccinations for 100 inmates.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Butte County Jail inmates will begin to receive the COVID-19 vaccine today, according to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
The Butte County Public Health Department provided the jail with enough vaccinations to administer to 100 inmates.

I feel like he is just being sentenced to catch COVID,” said the mother of an inmate, Heather Velasquez. I am concerned about our health because we don t want to catch the sickness and we are being exposed and they are not moving us, said inmate, Andrew Velasquez. They are not doing anything about it. I feel like it is not right.
