JANESVILLE - The plane that crashed Tuesday morning outside Janesville came from Appleton, a spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board said Thursday.
Two people died in the crash, which happened around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday just south of Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, Rock County Sheriff Troy Knudson said.
The plane flew from the Appleton International Airport to the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, where it stopped to refuel, NTSB spokesperson Peter Knudson said. The plane then took off and was headed to Florida.
