Sheriff Jim Allard reports the arrest of a 24-year-old Cameron resident following an investigation into alleged child abuse.
Gracie Schoffner, 24, is accused of failing to provide adequate housing and care for two dogs and a cat at her residence.
She was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance, torturing, or injuring an animal.
She was released to answer the charges at a later date- and the animals were turned over to the Finger Lakes SPCA.

Sheriff Jim Allard reports the arrest of a 35-year-old Woodhull man following an investigation into a one-car crash that happened in March.
According to investigators, Timothy Decker, 35, left the scene of that crash, which happened on County Route 102.
He struck a utility pole and left the scene without reporting it. The damage to the property exceeded $9,000, according to investigators.
As result, Decker was charged with criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a crash, and failure to keep right.
